My family and I had a wonderful time celebrating my sister in law's 30th birthday at The Melting Pot! I had never been and was super excited to give it a try. Eating in a mall is always a bit of a crapshoot, but this experience is refined and lovely - once you're in the door you more or less forget the fluorescent mall vibes you just left.
Our whole family opted for the four course experience where you start with cheese, move to salad, cook up some meats, then eat your weight in chocolate. It is a LOOOTTTT of food - we also opted to add on charcuterie boards, which I would recommend (more goodies to dip!) The baked potato and Monterey cheeses were excellent. They combine the ingredients right in front of you, which is fun. The main things that made the experience a 4 star as opposed to a 5 is the length of time it takes to get all of these courses prepared. If you're doing this four course thang, be prepared for 3+ hours. Also, if I was ordering a salad again in the future, I would ask for the dressing on the side for sure. It seemed like most folks had salads that were super overdressed, but fresh and yummy.
I will be back for chocolate SO SOON and think the cooking at the table is a fun element. The manager brought out complimentary bubbly for the whole table for our special occasion, which was super sweet. Overall, we felt very well taken care of (save the final course which took a pretty extreme amount of time to come out...made worse by a tired toddler) and had a wonderful time celebrating together. I look forward to my next fondue experience! -

The Melting pot: it is a great date spot. It is a unique dinner choice. Different from the ordinary options. We love going there, yet to have a bad experience. They even make sure to personalize your experience, giving up champagne and writing happy anniversary on our chocolate fondue plate.
If you haven't been before don't be afraid to give it a try, the servers will make sure they walk you through the procedures to ensure you have a great and safe (cooked properly) dining experience. -

Three of us ladies went to Melting Pot at Marketplace Mall, Henrietta, NY, to celebrate a birthday. We ordered the 4-course meal for one, and ordered an extra salad and an extra round of beef to fondue. There was plenty of cheese and chocolate for us to enjoy and the rest of the meal was very filling! We ordered a blackberry lemonade and a lime mojito as two drinks. The service was exceptional with Ward greeting and seating us and Lauren taking our orders. We had frequent water refills and the food was all prepared at the table and of course very fresh. We thought the steak lovers special was ideal! We all liked the sauces that were included. My only suggestion to the restaurant is for the potatoes served on the side - they should be partially boiled before the customer does fondue with them. They took more than 20 minutes to cook. Everything else was perfect!!

Always love date night at The Melting Pot. We usually wait until we have a coupon to go. Saves us $30 or so. We always double order the cheese and chocolate because it goes so quick if you don't. I have never once had a bad server. They are always so sweet and attentative. I really enjoy how you can make their cocktails last a good portion of the meal. They are easy sippers. Our favorite entree picks are the teriyaki sirloin (with the teriyaki sauce) and potstickers (with the plum sauce). Both are so good. It is always fun to learn what the seasonal pasta is. Love this restaurant, but because of the price we go very little.

*Brunch Review*
I never realized the MeltIng Pot did a brunch on Sundays. I'm not sure the public realizes it either as the place was pretty quiet. The brunch menu was a fixed price of $19.99 and included three courses. The best part was $1 mimosas and $2 bloody Mary's! The first course is a fruit or green salad, the second is a cheese dip, and the third is a chocolate dip. I went with a party of 8 and we had three pots among us so we were able to diversify our options. My favorite cheese dip was the alpine eggs Benedict which we could dip bread, sausage, apples, and fruit in. It tasted amazing. For the dessert we got a chocolate French toast dip with dark chocolate and dipped fruits, brownie bites, cream puffs, and pretzels. I love chocolate so I had absolutely no complaints.
This is definitely a unique brunch as everything is made to be dipped. If you are looking for a more traditional brunch including omelettes, waffles, pancakes etc. then this isn't your place. I left feeling satisfied and not over stuffed like I do sometimes at other brunches. As for he service, our server started off friendly but became a little cranky over time. The staff that was helping her out were friendly and the manager came over to make sure we were enjoying our meals. Overall I had a great experience and will try brunch here again!
